This is a real problem and not because ppl don’t want to to the work. There is so much resistance that no one talks about and certainly not how to address it. I’m a teacher and if you want a kid to learn something you have to break it down and then let them practice. Mastery of any skill is a process that takes time, effort, and persistence.
You’re right about the resistance. And I’d add that sometimes it’s not just about breaking it down. People have learned to override themselves for so long that even clear steps can feel impossible to follow. The work isn’t just instruction. It’s deprogramming.
